"Apps only" mode? (or adjust apps/categories/feeds in "Home" section)

Will there be an option to have an apps only mode, or ability to display apps, categories and channel feeds directly on "home" page?

Similar to Projectivy Launcher (in embedded picture), you can sort apps within categories and choose a custom background, but also display content from these apps (channels?) directly. So I can for example display content from YouTube (SmartTube), Stremio etc within home page.

It is a nice option to have something similar. Embedded picture of what an example of what I mean.

TLDR: To be able to adjust favorite apps / categories / channel feeds in "Home" section

I don't think something like this will be implemented, to be honest. There's a couple of reasons:

    1) I think Projectivy does this well enough already.

    2) You could replicate a similar experience by:

    • Disabling all Plex rows (or not signing in to Plex entirely) and just pinning your smart tube and stremio rows to the top of your home feed. Or, hide all other rows in your feed besides those, if that's all you want to see.

    • Enabling wallpaper mode

    • You can also change the wallpaper settings so that the first row of media is always shown.

I attached a screenshot of what that setup would look like in Dispatch.

Perhaps people would prefer if the row of media shown in the attached screenshot was not cut off, or if the first two rows were shown instead of just one.

I also think that Dispatch offers an "alternative" Apps Only Mode by simply using wallpaper mode + app peek, which results in only showing a clean wallpaper + showing your recommendations whenever a favorite app is highlighted.

Obviously, these two setups are not the exact same as how Projectivy or the Google TV launcher do Apps Only modes, however, I don't really see the value in replicating what's already available in other apps.

Oh also, you can disable the Movies and Television tabs too now, which would simplify the UI even further.

In that case only the Home and Apps tabs would be shown at the top right of the screen.

Paul Dhaliwal That looks really good, but would be slightly better if the feeds position could be adjusted or higher up maybe.

I think the look generally of Dispatch is alot better, but I like to be able to sort categories in my "home" page like I previously posted, to quickly access my favorite apps or see feeds from youtube/stremio etc. Just an idea.

English is not my native language so I hope I am explaining my idea good enough
