Pause metadata refresh

I noticed on a road trip with my chromecast. We had poor internet less than 10mbps, and needed to force close the dispatch launcher to prioritise the bandwith for plex as there was no way to cancel the metadata sync.

Would it be possible to add an option to pause the metadata refresh when on slow connections please?
