Small home screen navigation adjustment
Hey there, I love using Dispatch. It’s made using my Google TV sooo much better. I’ve been on it for about 6 months now and there’s one small navigation nitpick I have with the general Home Screen navigation experience, and I’d love if this could be updated in the app if possible.
The adjustment I’d like to propose is that when the navigation selection is focused on the apps/search area, that when you press “Down” on the remote that it will focus down into the content area. The way it currently works is that when you are focused in the apps/search area, you can only move left/right, and to get back to the content you must be focused within the upper-right, such as “Home”, to be able to click back down. Under my proposed update, you would be able to click down into the content when focused in the apps/search area. Typically when I pick up the remote to use the TV, I’m clicking around directionally to find where the focus is, and it can be frustrating when it’s locked in the apps area and I have to strategically click right and down to get into the content.
Currently, when you are focused on the content and move “up”, “Home” is the first nav item that comes into focus. I think this should stay the same. With the small proposed adjustment, I think it will enable just slightly more fluid navigation on the Home Screen when users are moving around, creating a more connected, triangular navigation flow on the main content browsing experience. Thanks for all your work on this app, I hope you will consider my update! Cheers

Hello! I may be misunderstanding, but this should already be possible, so long as app peek and immersive mode are turned off in Settings -> Favorite Apps (which you can access by long pressing any favorite app)
Do you mean you'd like this when app peek is showing as well? I suppose it makes sense, though the visual overlap is a little awkward.
